Light shower turns weather pleasant in Lahore
LAHORE (92 News) – A duststorm followed by light shower hit Lahore and its adjoining areas on Monday evening.
According to the details, the light showers turned the weather in Lahore pleasant, offering delightful moments to the citizens especially the fasting people.
The dust storm and light rain lowered the mercury in Lahore and its adjoining areas, bringing much-needed respite to the residents.
Meanwhile, the rain was also reported in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Safdarabad, Muree and Attock.
On the other hand, the dust storm and rain also hit the many areas of Balochistan while, hailstorm hit the Sinjawi area and made enjoyable weather for the fasting people.
Rain brings respite from heat in Punjab cities
Earlier on May 11, rain brought respite for people from heat in different cities of Punjab, including Lahore. The rain brought the mercury down in different cities across the country.
Heavy downpour was reported in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and adjacent areas. Weather turned pleasant after light rain in Lahore. Thick clouds also continued to hover in the city.
In Cholistan, thick clouds and windstorm brought the mercury down. People had a sigh of relief after hot weather continuing for several days.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, a shallow westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country.
The Met Office has predicted light rain with gusty winds during next 24 hours at scattered places in (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, D.I.Khan divisions), Quetta, Zhob, Sibbi divisions and Gilgit Baltistan.
