Linking terrorism to a religion or nationality is a big mistake: Ch Nisar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has on said that not every bearded man and hijab wearing woman is a terrorist and linking terrorism to a specific religion or nationality is a big mistake. Addressing a seminar at National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad on Thursday, he said that Pakistan has always shown maximum flexibility for promoting peace and tranquility in the region. The minister said that the recent orders of US President Donalp Trump have sent a negative message to the Muslims around the world. “The perspective of security in West may be different from that of Pakistan and other South Asian countries,” he added. He said security is a multi dimensional and multi faceted issue and it cannot be ensure for just closing borders. Nisar went on to say that there is tendency in our region to mix politics with security whereas security and politics are two different things, adding that the freedom movements cannot be equated with terrorism.
