Liquor found from Sharjeel Memon's room as CJP visits hospital

KARACHI (92 News) – Two bottles of liquor and cigarettes were recovered from the room of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Shaejeel Memon as Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar paid a surprise visit to Ziauddin Hospital. The CJP arrived at hospital amid tight security on Saturday morning. He came to visit Sharjeel Memon, who was earlier shifted from jail due to his ‘ill health’. He went to Memon's room after visiting different wards and found the bottles after which, he asked where the attorney general is. When inquired, Sharjeel Memon said that he has nothing to do with these bottles. The chief justice directed Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan to look into the matter. Meanwhile, the Karachi police have arrested two suspects. The SSP South said that the lab test of the bottles will be conducted. He said that the officials on duty would also be investigated. One of the suspects said that there was honey in one bottle and oil in another.
