LNG case: NAB tells court to file supplementary reference in next hearing

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor has assured the accountability court to file a supplementary reference in the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) case in the next hearing. During the today’s hearing of the LNG scandal, The NAB investigation officer submitted report regarding former PSO MD Shahid M Islam who had been declared fugitive and told that he is not present at any of his addresses. Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi appeared before the accountability court. Speaking to the journalists after appearance, Khaqan Abbasi said that no charge has been proven against him in six months. “My relatives and business partners are summoned by the NAB to tell them their assets belonging to Shahid Khaqan not yours,” the former premier said. He also said that the NAB Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal should examine the Islamabad High Court (IHC) verdict. “The anti-graft body has crippled the country and destroyed its economy,” he added.
