October 25, 2018
ISLAMABAD (News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday reopened the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) scandal against former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. As per details, the NAB has decided to summon the former premier for investigation. However, the NAB sought all records from the concerned ministries. Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi NAB wrote a letter to the ministries to summon the record related to the LNG cases. It is pertinent to mention here that the Karachi NAB has closed this case earlier. It was reported that the NAB also intended to summon other former officials of Petroleum Ministry and asked relevant departments to submit record of the case. Earlier, the NAB had alleged two former prime ministers Nawaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for alleged misuse of authorities by giving a contract of LNG terminal to 15 different companies of their choice.
