Low-pressure area over Southeast Arabian Sea turns into Cyclone Tauktae

KARACHI (92 News) – Low-pressure area over Southeast Arabian Sea, which rapidly intensified into a depression (intense low-pressure area), has tuned into tropical cyclone Tauktae.

According to the Meteorological Department, cyclone Tauktae is at a distance of about 450 km southeast of Karachi. The system is moving in north-northwest direction.

Owing to flood, fishermen of Sindh have been advised to remain alert and avoid going into deep sea from May 16 to 20.

The Met Office has predicted that mercury is likely to increase in the next two days.
