QUETTA (92 News) – At least five persons were killed when an LPG tanker caught fire in a godown near Western Bypass in Quetta, on Monday. According to the reports, six persons lost their lives during the gas cylinder blast in tanker. One person died on the spot while four other sustained severe burn injuries in the fire. Three bodies also have been shifted to BMC as death toll rises to six. Police and rescue teams reached the spot and bodies to nearby medical hospital. Rescue sources said that identity of the deceased is not yet known. It was also reported that the rescue operation has again started and the more deaths are expected. It is pertinent to mention here that the people were inside the tanker instead of LPG. Many questions are raising that why the people were inside tanker. Balochistan Interior Minister Mir Zia took notice of the incident and sought a report from Police. He also said that ‘Chalia’ was being smuggled in the tanker.
