M Tahir appointed IGP Punjab, Kaleem made IGP Sindh

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The federal government has ordered to transfer three IGPs on Friday. According to a notification issued by Establishment Division, Muhammad Tahir, who as previously working as IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been appointed the IGP Punjab. Kaleem Imam, who was acting as the IGP Punjab, has been appointed as IGP Sindh. Meanwhile, Salahudddin Khan has been appointed IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. IGP Punjab Muhammad Tahir had joined Police Service of Pakistan as ASP in 1988. He belongs to 16th Common batch. He is an honest, competent and diligent police officer. He has a vast experience of serving key posts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. He has served as RPO in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Bahawalpur and Gujranwala. Muhammad Tahir has also worked as Additional IGP Welfare and Finance Punjab, DIG Elite and Additional IG CTD. He served as DIG Headquarters, DIG R&D and DIG VIP Security.
