ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has said that the claimants of the Madina state have made the visit of people to Makkah and Madina difficult. Reacting to the hike in the Hajj expenses on Friday, he said that the government has created hurdles in performance of a religious duty. He said that the nation has given the most expensive Hajj to the people in the history of the country. The PML-N president said that they would raise the issue in the National Assembly. “The government has taken Hajj a source of income,” he added. While presiding over a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee, he questioned the merit of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for investigating the merit. “How much time it takes to investigate a case?” he queried. Mushahid Hussain Syed said that delay in tracing the record delays the cases. “Pending cases in courts are another reason for delay in the investigation,” he said. Shehbaz Sharif asked the NAB officials to inform him about it on Monday.
