Mafias looted poor nationals will have to return their money: Javed Iqbal

KARACHI (92 News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (rtd) Javed Iqbal on Wednesday expressed his commitment that the mafias looted the poor nationals will have to return their money. While addressing an event organised at NAB Karachi headquarters, the NAB chairman said that the accountability process is for all as the institution aimed to make Pakistan corruption-free. The housing societies and builders owners cannot skip the accountability process of NAB. He further urged the general masses to cooperate with the NAB to free Pakistan from corruption. Javed Iqbal has said that now time to end those corrupt mafias who are responsible for destruction of the poor nation. “Time of reward and punishment is determined and that the anti-corruption watchdog has not signed any deal but given relaxation only. We believe in accountability for all policy,” he explained. The NAB chairman also mentioned that Rs4 billion has been recovered from Sindh in only four months. He also explained that 600 corruption references has been filed during the 23 month, in which, 70 per cent punished. He also admired the qualities of DG NAB Farooq Awan. Earlier, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has formed six-member committee to address the reservations of business community. According to the NAB, the committee will submit its recommendations on the concerns and problems of business community. It also added that no complain will be heard on filed reference. The NAB committee will review the given recommendations and the business community committee has just authority for consultations. The committee will forward recommendations for the solution of traders’ issues to NAB chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal after thorough review. The committee includes Vice President SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Iftikhar Ali Malik, President Pakistan Federation of Chamber and Industry Daro Khan Achakzai and former President Bank Al-Falah Atif Bajwa.
