MUMBAI (92 News) – Here is the latest news update from Raees, Mahira Khan will not be replaced by any other actress in the movie. The Pakistani Actress will be continued as the female lead in the movie starring Shahrukh Khan in the lead role. The movie Raees is slated for a release in January 2017. The movie has Pakistani Actress Mahira Khan in the lead role opposite to Shahrukh Khan. It was thought that Mahira Khan will be replaced with some other actress as there is a ban on Pakistan Actors. The makers are thinking that the things will get cool down as the release date of the movie is in January 2017. The movie is being directed by Rahul Dholakia and is produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritish Sidhwani and Shahrukh Khan. The upcoming Bollywood movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has faced a lot of issues for its release due to Pakistani Actor Fawad Khan involving in the cast. But this movie has completed all its shooting before the ban on actors came up. But Raees though having time, the makers are thinking replacing her is a cost efficient option. Also much portion of her shoot has completed and few scenes between Mahira and Shahrukh are yet to be shot. So Mahira Khan will be seen opposite Shahrukh Khan in Raees. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Johar and Mukesh Bhatt at his residence Varsha along with MNS chief Raj Thackeray. When asked if Raees will be facing the same opposition as that of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, working president of Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena, Shalini Thackeray told in a panel discussion, “They always said that these films were shot before the (Uri) attack happened."
