Maid injured by alleged torture of civil judge's wife shifted to Lahore General Hospital

LAHORE (92 News) - A maid injured by the alleged torture of the civil judge's wife in Islamabad was shifted to Lahore General Hospital on Tuesday.

A 12-member medical board comprising of senior doctors has been formed to provide medical treatment to the victim Rizwana.

Meanwhile, Caretaker Health Minister Dr Javed Akram met the relatives of the victims and assured them of all-out cooperation. He said that the strict action would be taken against the accused as per law. He said that the victim was brutally tortured for six months.

On the application of the victim's father, the Islamabad police have registered a case against the wife of the judge. However, the accused is still at large. Child Protection Bureau chairperson Sara Ahmed said that the bureau will take the victim into custody after her recovery.

Rizwana, the victim's relatives, had received her in comma. The victim had injuries to her teeth, nose, arm, head and face. There are visible marks of strangulation. She was working as maid in the house of the judge for Rs 10,000.
