Maid torture case: Tayyaba undergoes medical check-up at PIMS

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Tayyaba, the minor housemaid who was allegedly tortured by the wife of judicial officer, was presented before the medical at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad on Monday. The minor housemaid was presented before the four-member medical board of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) comprising Professor Tariq Iqbal, Professor Hameed-ud-Din, Professor Waqar and Psychologist Asima Khan where she undergoes medical checkup of her wounds. Blood samples of Tayyaba were also several tests including Hepatitis and were sent to laboratory. Samples for DNA were taken both of Tayyaba and her mother. The medical board is due to present its report in the next 24 hours. A two-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, is hearing the case on a suo-moto notice.
