Major among six FC South jawans martyred in IED attack near Pak-Iran border

QUETTA (92 News) – Six jawans, including a major, were martyred when FC South vehicle was targeted with a remote controlled improvised explosive device (IED) on Friday. According to a press release issued by the ISPR, the vehicle was returning from patrolling in Kech's Buleda area, 14 kms from Pak-Iran Border, to check possible routes used by terrorists in the mountainous terrain of Makran. The martyred jawans include Major Nadeem, Naik Jamshed, Lance Naik Khizar Hayat, Lance Naik Taimoor, Sepoy Nadeem and Sepoy Sajid. On November 18, at least three personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) were martyred and four injured in a blast at Margat area in Quetta. According to the sources, the blast took place near the vehicle of security forces. The FC soldiers’ were martyred when their vehicle came under attack. Another four were injured in the blast. The rescue teams rushed to the blast site and shifted injured to the hospitals. The security forces the explosive material was installed along the roadside. The vehicle of security forces was carrying food to other personnel when came to under attack.
