Major breakdown hits Karachi, 80 percent of city without power

KARACHI (92 News) – The 80 percent of the city plunged into darkness due to a major breakdown on Monday morning. The high-tension line of K-Electric tripped again, causing the breakdown. As a result, the power supply to several areas, including Sadr, Gulshan Iqbal, Airport, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony and Quaidabad. Moreover, the areas including Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Korangi, Landhi, Super Highway, Sohrab Goth, Gulistan-e-Muamar, Guddap and Ancholi. It is the fifth major breakdown in one and a half month.
