Major reshuffle in Sindh bureaucracy, removes Additional IG Karachi from his post

KARACHI (92 News) – In a major step of bureaucratic overhaul, the Sindh government shuffled up the positions of a large number of senior administrative officials of provincial departments on Friday. The Sindh government removed Additional Inspector General of Karachi police Ghulam Qadir Thebo. The decision was taken at a high level meeting held at Chief Minister House. Provincial Minister for Information and Local Bodies Sharjeel Memon, Finance Minister Murad Ali Shah and others participated in the meeting. Mushtaq Mehar has been appointed as the new Additional Inspector General of Karachi police. The chief minister has ordered the removal Karachi Metropolitan Corporation administrator Saqib Soomro, Director General Sindh Building Control Authority Manzoor Qadir Kaka and Secretary Cooperation Shahzar Shamoon from their posts. Deputy Commissioner of Sindh’s 11 districts has also been removed from his post. Sources said that the reshuffle in bureaucracy before local body elections is meaningful. Talking to 92 News, chief minister’s spokesman Rashid Chana said that chief Secretary has not yet issued any notifications of these transfers and postings.
