Malala calls on PM Nawaz in Norway

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said the government is determined to improve quality of education and ensure gender equality. He was talking to Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai at Oslo on Wednesday. The PM said significant steps have been taken for the promotion of rights of women, children and minorities. "The government is committed to increase education spending up to four percent of GDP," he said, appreciating Malala's personal interest for the cause of promotion of education. Nawaz Sharif said the government has made a strong resolve to eliminate terrorism which will help attain our dream of providing better education to all. The sacrifices of those who suffered at the hands of terrorists would not go in vain. "The terrorists are now on the run, their sanctuaries and hideouts have been wiped out," he said.
