ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, who is on a three-day visit to Pakistan, was presented a guard of honour at the Prime Minister’s House on Friday. A smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces presented the guard of honour to the visiting dignitary as he arrived at the PM’s House. On the occasion national anthems of both the countries were played and a smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces presented guard of honor to the visiting dignitary. Later, Prime Minister introduced his cabinet members to the Malaysian counterpart. The Malaysian delegation was also introduced to Prime Minister Imran Khan. Malaysian PM receives warm welcome upon arrival in Pakistan
Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Thursday arrived in Pakistan on a three-day visit. He was warmly received by Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Nur Khan airbase in Islamabad. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Minister in Waiting Makhdum Khusro Bakhtya were also present along with the Prime Minister. A twenty one gun salute was given to the distinguished guest. Two children presented a bouquet of flowers to the visiting Prime Minister. It is worth mentioning here that Dr Mahathir Mohammad is seventh Prime Minister of Malaysia who changed the course of Malaysia and transformed it into a modern and prospering country. The Malaysian prime minister’s visit from March 21-23 is at the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He will be the Guest of Honour at the Pakistan Day Parade on March 23. He was accompanied by a 35-member high-level delegation including several leading businessmen.  He is paying the visit on the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan.Prime Minister Mahathir’s bilateral engagements also include call on President Arif Alvi, one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan followed by the delegation level talks.
PM, Mahathir counterpart to hold one-on-one meeting
The Malaysian prime minister and PM Imran Khan will hold talks on the entire gamut of bilateral relations in Islamabad today. The one-on-one meeting between the two prime ministers will be followed by delegation level talks in which both the sides will discuss ways and means to further bolster their relations. Pak-Malaysia Business Leaders’ Round Table Conference will be held this afternoon in which the private sector from both the countries would explore opportunities and potential of various sectors of economy for mutual cooperation. At an investiture ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr this evening, the Malaysian Prime Minister will be conferred upon Nishan-e-Pakistan, the highest civil award of Pakistan which will be followed by a banquet in honor of the visiting dignitary and his delegation.
