LAHORE (92 News) – PML-N leader Malik Ahmed has asked NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal to resign over the interview issue. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he said that he will move the Supreme Court against the NAB chairman and the columnist. He said that the allegations against Shehbaz Sharif are very serious. “The interview of the NAB chairman is extremely controversial. The NAB is a planning unit of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf,” he said. The PML-N leader said that the NAB chairman had leveled baseless allegations against the Sharif family. “We do not object to the arrest of Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak,” he said. He demanded that the NAB chairman should appear before the parliamentary committee. The PML-N leader said that political instability will take out the funeral of the economy. “The people are committing suicide due to the NAB. Is the NAB a extrajudicial institution?” he said. He said that Asad Munir had committed suicide due to attitude of the NAB. On the other hand, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has dissociated the party from the press conference of Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan. She said that the decision to take legal action and resignation of NAB chairman is not the decision of the party. “The views expressed by Malik Ahmed Khan are personal,” he said.
