‘Malik reached Zardari House after attack on Benazir instead of hospital’

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab’s Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan on Friday claimed that former interior minister Rehman Malik reached Zardari House after the attack on late Benazir Bhutto in Liaquat Bagh instead of the hospital. Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Chohan mentioned that Rehman Malik was in charge of Benazir Bhutto’s security in Rawalpindi public gathering when she was attacked. “Malik reached Zardari House after the attack instead of rushing to the hospital,” he claimed. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari should ask from his father that why Rehman Malik reached Zardari House by leaving her mother late Benzir Bhutto alone. The minister said Zardari group has carried out corruption of billion of rupees. “Bilawal sahab! as chairman of Zardari group, you have to answer.” The provincial minister further criticized that the PPP is spending huge amount on Rawalpindi public gathering, adding that Sindh’s situation would have been changed, if the amount was spent there. on the other hand, Late Benazir Bhutto is being remembered on her 12th death anniversary today. PPP will hold a rally in Liaquat Bagh, where the former prime minister was assassinated in a gun and bomb attack in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007. It is noteworthy that every year, PPP holds a public meeting or rally at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to mark Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary. However, this year the day has assumed more significance as chairman of the party and Bhutto’s son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has selected the same venue for the public meeting where his mother was assassinated.
