Man arrested for smuggling foreign currency in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) – The intelligence agencies and Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) have on Wednesday apprehended a man when he was trying to leave for abroad along with foreign currency equal to over Rs 6 million at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. As per details, Sohail Basharat was offloaded from a plane and the law enforcers seized 92, 500 durham and 32,000 Euro from the suspect. Sources privy to the raiding team said that the waiter namely Umer Din working in the snack bar located in the departure lounge gave the foreign currency to the accused Sohail Basharat. The intelligence agencies have also arrested the facilitator of the currency smuggler.
