Man throws acid on woman, her family in Gojra

GOJRA (92 News) – A man threw acid on a woman, her parents and brother on Wednesday night at Chak 92 JB area of Gojra in revenge for being ousted from the village after she accused him of harassment. According to the details, the suspect, who has been identified as Safdar, was ousted from the village by ‘Panchayat’ over woman accused him of harassment. The suspect entered the house in the darkness of night and threw acid on women including her family in his revenge after he was forced to leave the village for harassment allegations. In the acid attack, the wife and husband, identified as Sakeena and Anwar, including 7-years old Adil and 8-years-old Mohsin were injured. The injured were shifted to the Allied Hospital Faisalabad. However, due to the critical condition, woman did not succumb her injuries and died in the hospital. The case has not been registered in the Gojra Saddar Police Staion. Meanwhile, the police claimed to arrest the suspect Safdar. The police said that the man threw acid on the woman and her family for taking revenge of his ouster.
