Maneka’s objections: Judge writes to IHC for transferring Iddat case to another court

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Sessions Judge Shah Rukh Arjmand wrote a letter to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) registrar after Khawar Maneka again raised objections against him, requesting the transfer of the Iddat case against the PTI founder and his wife to another court.

In the letter, the judge said that Khawar Maneka and his lawyers had always tried to interrupt the hearing.

“Khawar Maneka’s plea to show mistrust has already been dismissed. It will not be justified to announce the verdict on the appeals against the conviction after the petitioner again showed the mistrust. Hence the case should be transferred and a judicial timeframe should be fixed to announce the verdict on the appeals,” he added.

In the courtroom, Khawar Maneka and PTI lawyers exchanged hot words. The PTI lawyers attacked and tortured Khawar Maneka when he came out of the courtroom.
