Manzoor Wassan opposes transfer of SBP’s departments to Lahore

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Minister for Industries and Trade Manzoor Wassan opposed the possible transfer of six departments of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) from Karachi to Lahore. “There is a conspiracy to make Punjab the whole country and to make smaller provinces a colony of Punjab and the transfer of SBP is linked to it. This would not happen until I am the serving minister,” he said. He asked, “They (government) are saying that the transfer would improve the work, is it not working well in Karachi?” The transfer of these four important departments of SBP would puncture the industry of Karachi, he said. Sindh already has an inferiority complex. Such initiatives would further disturb the people, he added.
