Maqsood murder case: ATA sections added to FIR against four cops

KARACHI (92 News) – On the court orders, the police have added the sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act to the FIR registered against four policemen. On January 20, law enforcement agencies claimed to have killed a wanted suspect, Maqsood, in a shootout near Faisal Base at Shahra-e-Faisal. However, hours later, police backtracked on their initial statement, stating that the citizen was in fact killed due to the firing of the real suspect engaged in a shootout with the police. Earlier, a court had granted bail to Assistant Sub Inspector Tariq Khan and constables Shaukat Ali, Akbar Khan and Abdul Waheed.
