Marriyum Aurangzeb says PM wants revival of film industry

KARACHI (92 News) – Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the prime minister wants revival of the film industry.

Addressing a news conference after two-day consultative meeting on Saturday, she said that the government is taking concrete steps for the revival of film industry in the country.

The minister stressed the need for reconnecting the youth with its culture.

She said Film Policy 2017 is being prepared and will be announced very soon.

The minister said that filmmakers would be provided full assistance to import modern equipment and machineries.

To a question, she said that concrete steps had been taken to overcome terrorism.
