Martyred Lt Nasir Khalid laid to rest with full military honours in Muzaffarabad
MUZAFFARABAD (92 News) – Lieutenant Nasir Khalid, who was martyred with two soldiers in North Waziristan, was laid to rest with full military honours on Friday.
Thousands of people from different walks of life, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, attended the funeral. A smartly turned out contingent presented the salute. Later, a floral wreath was laid on the grave of the martyred Lieutenant Nasir Khalid.
Speaking on the occasion, AJK PM Raja Farooq Haider said that Lt Nasir Khalid was a scion who sacrificed his life for the homeland. "The people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir will not desist from sacrificing their lives if the need be," he said.
He assured that the people of AJK stand by the Pak Army. "Sacrifices of Pak Army and security forces for the elimination of terrorism are unforgettable," he said.
Meanwhile, martyred Naik Muhammad Imran was laid to rest in Chak Jhumra, Faisalabad. A large number of people, including high-ranking military and civil officers, attended the funeral.
