Martyred Major Ali Jawad Khan laid to rest with full military honours in Quetta

QUETTA/PESHAWAR (92 News) – Major Ali Jawad Khan who was martyred by unprovoked Afghan firing at Torkham was laid to rest with full military honours in his ancestral graveyard in Quetta on Tuesday. Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, Balochistan FC IG Maj-Gen Sher Afgan, provincial ministers and civil and military officers attended his funeral. Earlier in Peshawar, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and a large number of military officers and citizens participated in his funeral. Major Ali Jawad and three security personnel were injured due to the Afghan firing on Monday evening. He was treated at CMH Peshawar. On Tuesday morning, he embraced martyrdom. He was son of Brigadier (retd) Khadim Ali Khan and brother of Maj Qasim and Maj Asad.
