HAFIZABAD (92 News) – Major Nadeem Abbas martyred by terrorists near Pak-Iran border was laid to rest with full military honours in his ancestral graveyard in Hafizabad on Saturday. A large number of people, including high-ranking military and civil officer, attended his funeral. Major Nadeem Abbas was son of former MPA Nazar Abbas Bhatti and brother of former district nazim Mubashar Abbas Bhatti. On Friday, six FC South jawans, including Major Nadeem Abbas, were martyred when their vehicle was targeted with a remote controlled improvised explosive device (IED). According to a press release issued by the ISPR, the vehicle was returning from patrolling in Kech's Buleda area, 14 kms from Pak-Iran Border, to check possible routes used by terrorists in the mountainous terrain of Makran. The martyred jawans included Major Nadeem, Naik Jamshed, Lance Naik Khizar Hayat, Lance Naik Taimoor, Sepoy Nadeem and Sepoy Sajid.
