DERA GHAZI KHAN (92 News) – Martyred soldier Naik Muhammad Khuram, who was killed after Indian forces opened fire along the Line of Control in Kashmir on Saturday, laid to rest in Dera Ghazi Khan with full military honours on Monday. According to the details, Naik Khuram’s funeral prayers were held in Dera Ghazi Khan. His body was brought to DG Khan Saturday night. Firing and heavy shelling by the Indian side in the Nakyal sector of Kashmir resulted in the deaths of two Pakistan Army soldiers – Naik Khuram and Hawaldar Abdul Rab. Naik Khuram hailed from DG Khan’s Mehboobad while Hawaldar Rab was from DG Khan’s Taunsa Sharif tehsil. The latter was laid to rest on Sunday. According to the Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR), two Pakistan Army soldiers, Havaldar Abdul Rub, 31, and Naik Khurram, also 31, and two civilians were martyred when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing at Nakiyal Sector along the LoC on Saturday. According to the ISPR, the martyred jawans include Havaldar Abdur Rab and Naik Khurram. Moreover, two civilians were also martyred and as many injured in the Indian unprovoked firing in Tatta Pani and Jadrot sectors. The injured were immediately shifted to Kotli. The Pakistan Army also gave a befitting reply and destroyed several Indian army check-posts. As a result, nine Indian soldiers were killed and 32 others were injured. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Pakistan Navy have been put on high alert to thwart Indian aggression. Heavy firing and shelling were carried out in different sectors of Kashmir – Nakyal, Chamb, Goyee, Khuiratta, Manawar, and Matiyanwali. Indian border forces shelled people’s houses in Mirpur in which 19-year-old Sadhar Qureshi and 80-year-old Nazeer Ahmed were killed.
