Martyrs, Ghazis of Pak Army real heroes of country: COAS Bajwa

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that the Shuhada (martyrs) and Ghazis of Pakistan Army are the real heroes of the country.  

Paying rich tribute to Shaheeds and Ghazis during investiture ceremony held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, the COAS said that we owe peace and stability to the selfless devotion and sacrifices of these officers and soldiers who are our real heroes.

The army chief conferred military awards to Army personnel for acts of gallantry during operations.

A large number of military officials and relatives of Shuhada/Ghazis attended the ceremony.

Thirty-three officers were awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz Military, one officer was awarded with Tamgha-e-Jurat and 30 officers and soldiers were awarded Tamgha-e-Bisalat. Medals of martyrs were received by their family members.
