Maryam, British discuss ways to extend cooperation in education, women empowerment

LAHORE (92 News) - British High Commissioner Jane Marriott called on Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Raiwind on Friday.

Matters of mutual interest were discussed. They also discussed ways to extend cooperation in the fields of environment, trade, information technology, education and women empowerment.

During the interaction, Maryam Nawaz Sharif extended her congratulations to Jane Marriott for her diplomatic role in Pakistan.

She also lauded the role of Jane Marriott against terrorism. She thanked the UK for donation for flood affectees and education of women.

Maryam Nawaz said that Pakistani-origin UK citizens are playing a key role in strengthening relations between both countries.
