Maryam Nawaz is shareholder of five mills, reveals asset details

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Assets details of Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, has revealed that she is shareholder of five mills and owns assets worth Rs845 million despite her earlier claims she did not own any property in Pakistan. According to Maryam’s affidavit, her previous statements about national and foreign assets were proven false. The assets details of the Maryam revealed the reality of her statements. Maryam net assets, as recorded on June 30 for the financial year 2017, amounted to Rs845 million. Maryam Nawaz is a shareholder in the Hamza Spinning Mills Limited, Chaudhry Sugar Mills Limited, Muhammad Buksh Textile Mills Limited, Hudaibiya Papers Mills Limited and Hudaibiya Engineering Co Private Limited. On the other hand, Maryam also owns 1,506 kanal land under her name. She invested 3.4 million and 64 thousands rupees on her family's floor mill. She also gave the loan worth Rs7 million to Soft Energy private Limited. Maryam Nawaz has received gifts worth Rs 4.92 crore so far whereas she posseses jewelry worth Rs 1.7 million. She is a debtor of Rs 2.89 crore of Hassan Nawaz but a figure reached by an increase of 548 kanals within the last three years. Moreover, she has carried out foreign visits worth Rs6.4 million in three years. She is contesting in the upcoming general elections from NA-125, Na-127 and PP-173. Data on electoral candidates’ assets was shared by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday. Earlier in 2011, Maryam Nawaz had said during an interview to a local media outlet that she “does not own any properties in London or Pakistan”.“I live at my father’s house,” she said at the time, denying the veracity documents that purportedly detailed her ownership of property.
