LAHORE (92 News) – Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has on Monday left for London. Maryam Nawaz will inquire about the health of her ailing mother Begum Kulsoom Nawaz. Begum Kulsoom Nawaz won the NA-120 Lahore by-election by obtaining 61,254 votes while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Dr Yasmin Rashid secured 47,066 votes in all 220 polling stations. Earlier, addressing a public gathering after the unofficial announcement of victory of PML-N candidate Begum Kulsoom Nawaz in NA-120 in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz , daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif said that people had proved that Nawaz Sharif lived in their hearts by casting their vote for PML-N candidate. She said that the people of NA-120 have rejected the politics of chaos and conspiracies. Maryam Nawaz said that the 60,000 votes were equivalent to 6 million, adding that problems were created during the polling. She promised to serve the people of NA-120 following her mother’s victory in the by-election. On the other hand, addressing a press conference in Lahore Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq said that elements plotting conspiracies against progress should join our hands in the development of Pakistan. He thanked the people for extending their all-out support to the candidate of PML-N.
