Maryam Nawaz resolves to struggle for rights of women
LAHORE (92 News) - PML-N senior vice-president Maryam Nawaz has resolved to struggle for the rights of women.
Addressing a ceremony on the International Women's Day on Wednesday, she said that each day in Pakistan is for women.
"There is a need to give confidence to sisters and daughters. Women should have right to 52 percent resources of the country. Women can decide the fate of the nation through their votes," she maintained.
Maryam Nawaz said that nations are respected only by respecting their women. "Women have always scripted a timeless story of courage and resolve. Women are power of their parents and proving this truth through their capabilities in each sector."
She said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have always played a historic role for the education, health, protection and economic betterment of women.
"Women's economic self-reliance can expedite economic progress of Pakistan. Our foremost agenda is the education of women," she maintained.
