ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has declared the public meetings of the opposition as illegal.

Addressing a meeting of his spokespersons on Monday, he said that hypocrisy of the opposition was being exposed through the meetings daily. "The government will neither be blackmailed nor the opposition will be given the NRO," he maintained.

He said that Maryam Nawaz is spreading coronavirus on the streets of Lahore after failure of the public meetings. "Who will be booked if the people died of coronavirus?"

PM Imran Khan said that the government will register cases against those providing service to the meeting. "The opposition wants a clash and the government will not provide the opposition an opportunity of a clash," he maintained.

He said that he would not compromise on accountability no matter the government is dissolved. "The opposition demands imposition of a complete lockdown. But now it was trampling the SOPs," he added.

The prime minister said that Maulana Fazalur Rehman was an unemployed person. "The opposition parties will not be stopped from the public meeting," he added.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi briefed the meeting about the OIC meeting and other matters. "The mention of Kashmir in the OIC declaration is the success of Pakistan's foreign policy," he added.
