Maryam Nawaz terms NAB chairman's extension as illegal & unconstitutional

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz has termed the extension in the tenure of NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal.

Talking to the media after appearing in the Islamabad High Court on Wednesday, he said that he hoped that the court would reject the extension.

"The cases against our leadership were constituted on the basis of political engineering. Today the Pandora Papers and other scandals are appearing. Where are the joint investigation teams (JITs)?" she questioned.

The PML-N leader said that the extension in the tenure of the NAB chairman is a slap in the face of the nation. "The progressing country is on the decline. The country is facing the worst inflation and loneliness at the international level," he added.
