Maryam says don’t expect mercy from govt about Nawaz's health

LAHORE (92 News) – Incarcerated premier Nawaz Sharif’s daughter, Maryam Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday that she does not expect any mercy from the government about his father’s health. Shortly after Nawaz Sharif was shifted to back to Kot Lakhpat Jail from Services Hospital, where he was being treated for cardiac ailments, Maryam Nawaz said in her tweet, the government would be responsible if the former prime minister’s health deteriorates. “I remained quiet but if my father’s health is played with or if it is politicized and God forbid it deteriorates, the government will be responsible,” she tweeted. She stressed that no request had been made to the government for Nawaz’s medical treatment, and none would be made in the future. In another tweet, Maryam said one after another medical boards were formed. “First Nawaz Sharif was shifted to PIC, then to Services Hospital where there is no cardiac unit and then they tried to shift him again to PIC. He refused to be shifted stating it wasn’t appropriate for him to be wandering around nor he was ready to be insulted and asked the authorities to shift him back to jail.”   Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) supremo met his mother and daughter at Services Hospital Lahore . Maryam Nawaz said her father’s health is better but she is still worried. Nawaz’s mother, Shamim Begum, prayed for both Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif.
Nawaz Sharif shifted to jail from hospital
Earlier today, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who was sentenced to seven years in the Al-Azizia reference, was shifted to Kot Lakhpat jail from Services Hospital on Thursday. Stringent security arrangements had been made on the occasion. Nawaz remained under treatment in Services Hospital for six days. After conducting different tests, his health was declared satisfactory.
A day earlier, Punjab government spokesperson Dr Shahbaz Gill confirmed that the government cancelled the decision of shifting incarcerated prime minister Nawaz Sharif from Service Hospital to Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC). The minister said that the decision was cancelled on the refusal of former prime minister. He also said that the Pakistan Muslim league-N (PML-N) is playing politics on the bad health of Nawaz Sharif. Earlier, Nawaz Sharif refused his shifting from Services Hospital to Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC). The Interior Ministry decided to shift Nawaz Sharif from Services Hospital to the PIC.
Maryam says ‘Mian Saheb wants to go back in jail’
Earlier, Maryam said that her ailing father wanted to go back in jail. Maryam Nawaz said while responding to the questions by the journalists during her visit to the hospital. “Nawaz Sharif doesn’t want to stay in hospital for treatment and wants to go back to jail,” she mentioned. She explained while talking to the journalists at the Services Hospital, Lahore where the Nawaz Sharif is currently being treated.
