Maulana Fazl reaches Lahore to discuss Azadi March with Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has reached Lahore from Peshawar to discuss Azadi March plan with Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif. Maulana Fazlur Rehman will meet with Shehbaz Sharif and discuss the matters related to anti-government protest and many other important national issues. During the meeting, they will finalize the plan and strategy of Azadi march. After the meeting, the PML-N president and the JUI-F chief will hold a joint press conference. Shehbaz Sharif will announce his party’s strategy and participation in anti-government protest of Maulan Fazlur Rehman. It is pertinent to mention here that Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that there will be no talks with the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) till the resignation of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Earlier, Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak, head of the Dialogue Committee, has started contacting the opposition leaders to stop Azadi March announced by JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rahman. Pervaiz Khattak told 92 News that the opposition’s demand for the resignation of the prime minister is ridiculous and there will be no talk on it. The defence minister said that he hopes development in the talks in two-four days. “We will also soon form a committee in this regard,” he added. Sources disclosed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has agreed to directly talk to JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rahman. “The prime minister will talk to Maulana Fazalur Rahman if the Dialogue Committee wants so during the talks,” they added. They said that the prime minister has directed Pervaiz Khattak to accept the justified demands of Maulana Fazalur Rahman. The sources said that Pervaiz Khattak has sent a message to Maulana Fazalur Rahman who, however, has not yet responded to the government offer. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to participate in Azadi March; however, it is indecisive about participation in the sit-in. The decision was made during a meeting. However, PML-N president announce the participation in a joint press conference with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rahman on Wednesday.
