ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PDM chairman Maulana Fazalur Rehman has advised the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) to postpone the long march on February 27.

The inside story of the meeting between both leaders reveals that Maulana Fazalur Rehman had proposed to launch the long march along with the PDM instead of starting it separately.

"By launching the long marches separately will give the impression of division in the opposition," he suggested.

However, both leaders were divided over tabling the no-confidence motion in the Centre or Punjab. Maulana Fazalur Rehman proposed to table the no-confidence motion first against PM Imran Khan and then against the Punjab chief minister.

Sources said that Asif Zardari would discuss the issue with PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif. "The PML-N proposed to convince the estranged leader of the government instead of the allies. About 20-22 members of the government had assured of the support," they added.

They agreed to continue links with the government allies and consultation over the no-confidence motion and the long march.
