Maulana Fazalur Rehman announces protest demonstrations to give tough time to govt

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Democratic Movement chairman Maulana Fazalur Rehman has announced protest demonstrations to give a tough time to the government.

Talking to the media after a meeting of PDM leaders on Saturday, he said that a protest demonstration would be staged in Swat on July 4, in Karachi on July 29 and in Islamabad on August 14.

He said that the government had no ability to counter any challenge.

The PDM chairman demanded that a joint session of the parliament should be called on the Afghanistan situation.

He also rejected the proposal of the voting machine and an ordinance of the electoral reforms.

Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that the government should take action against the government functionaries involved in corruption.

He said that the government should clarify the rumours about giving air bases to the US.
