Maulana Fazalur Rehman announces to boycott process to elect speaker, deputy speaker & PM

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman has announced to boycott the process to elect the speaker, deputy speaker and the prime minister.

Talking to the media on Thursday, he said that it was not an assembly, but something else. "It does not seem to be completing its five years. We will sit in the opposition and discuss our reservations seriously," he added.

Later, Maulana Fazalur Rehman held a meeting with Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani in latter's chamber. IPP president Aleem Khan and other MNAs were also present.

On the other hand, the consultative committees of the MQM and the PML-N held a meeting. The MQM has assured the PML-N of cast the vote in its favour during the election of speaker, deputy speaker and prime minister.
