May 9 arson case: ATC allows joining of Dr Yasmin Rashid in probe

LAHORE (92 News) - An anti-terrorism court allowed the investigation team to include PTI leader Dr Yasmin Rashid in investigation into the May 9 arson case.

The court allowed the police to include Yasmin Rashid in the case registered under the high treason sections.

The team will investigate Dr Yasmin Rashid in Kot Lakhpat jail on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the Punjab government has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) against the acquittal of Dr Yasmin Rashid. It contended that the PTI leader had led those attacked Jinnah House.

The government stated that the trial court had discharged Yasmin Rashid in the case contrary to the facts.
