RAWALPINDI (92 News) – DG ISPR Maj Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary has categorically declared that there will be no dialogues with political anarchists.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he said that there is the only way – the political anarchists should apologize to the nation sincerely and do constructive politics by shunning the politics of hatred.

The DG ISPR clarified that dialogues suit among political parties, not institutions. "The Pak Army's role in the elections was to provide a safe environment. If someone has a proof of interference in the elections, he should present it to the legal and constitutional institutions. The Army does not promote a particular political thinking," he declared.

He said that the May 9 incidents cannot be linked to the February 8 narrative. "Factually the turnout in the general elections was 47 percent. As many as 650 million votes were cast. A particular party got 31 percent votes, which is only eight percent of the total population. The votes of a particular party did not mean it was in favour of the May 9 incidents," he added.

To a question, the DG ISPR said that Army's subsidiary institutions paid taxes and duties to the tune of Rs360 billion. "Only the Defence House Authority (DHA) paid a tax of Rs23 billion. The critics live in DHA and get medical treatment from army hospitals. This hypocrisy should come to an end." He also termed the allegation of regime change against Saudi Arabia regrettable.

May 9 is Not Case of Armed Forces, but of Entire Pakistan

DG ISPR Maj Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary has declared that May 9 is not the case of the armed forces, but of entire Pakistan. "An effort was made to create hatred between the people and Pak Army. The people responsible for May 9 incidents will have to be brought to justice as per law and constitution. All witnessed that how minds were prepared against the Army and agencies. Some political leaders gave the workers selected targets. Military installations were attacked in a few hours. The people too have evidence of the May 9 incidents," he added.

The DG ISPR said that the lie and deception were exposed when everything clarified. "Lie and deception cannot work. The system is questioned if the people responsible for the May 9 incidents are not brought to justice," declared. He said that later false propaganda was launched by terming it a false flag operation. During the press conference, videos and evidence of the May 9 incidents were also played.

Recent Terrorism Linked to Afghanistan

DG ISPR Maj Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary said that the recent terrorism is linked to Afghanistan. "The Pak Army will go to any extent to eliminate terrorists. We have concrete evidence that the terrorists linked to the Tehreek Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are using the Afghan soil for creating unrest in Pakistan," he added.

He said that the Dasu dam attack was also planned in Afghanistan. "Pakistan has the most important role in the war against terrorism in the region. We will leave no stone unturned to eliminate the network of terrorism. It is priority of the armed forces to establish peace in the country," he declared.

The DG ISPR said that Pakistan helped the Afghanistan interim government at each level, but it did not implement the promises made by it.

He said that the Pak Army jawans are sacrificing their lives for Pakistan. "The Pak Army is an iron wall before terrorists. COAS General Asim Munir has repeatedly stated that there is no place for terrorists in Pakistan," he added.

The DG ISPR said that the country is heading towards peace at a fast pace.

India Involved in Extra-State Target Killings in Other Countries

DG ISPR Maj Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary said that India is involved in extra-state target killings in other countries. "India also got executed target-killings of two Pakistani nationals. It makes such planning to divert attention from its internal problems. We are all time ready to defend our solidarity and sovereignty," he declared.

The DG ISPR said that India is active to suppress the voice of the Kashmiris. "But the voice of Kashmiris cannot be suppressed through the power. The struggle of Kashmiris will succeed despite all difficulties," he added.
