Mechanism prepared to resolve problems of masses: PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan said that a mechanism had been prepared to resolve the problems of the masses.

Speaking at a dinner hosted in honour of leaders of allied parties on Thursday, he said that the government's economic team worked hard which stabilized the national economy.

He said that the country was on the verge of being defaulted when the PTI came into the power. "After 17 years, the current account deficit has become positive," he added.

The participants exchanged their views on economic and political situation in the country. The allied parties expressed solidarity with the government.

MQM leaders Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Ameenul Haq, Pir Pagara, Fehmida Mirza and Shah Zain attended the dinner. However, no PML-Q leader attended the dinner.

Federal ministers Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Babar Awan, Shafqat Mahmood, Pervaiz Khattak, Fawad Chaudhry, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman were also present.

Talking to 92 News, Federal Minister for Housing and Works Tariq Bashir Cheema said that it seems that the PML-Q and the government have only link of the vote.

Moonis Elahi said that the dinner was included in the agreement with the government.

Pir Pagara said that they are part of the government and would continue its unconditional support.

On the other hand, the MQM expressed their reservations about the Sindg government in the dinner.
