ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto has said that media workers face difficulties all over the world.

Addressing a ceremony on Wednesday, he said that PPP never compromised on freedom of speech. “It will also not do in future. Martyred Benazir Bhutto ended black law against media in 1988. PPP and Pakistan’s journalistic community struggled for freedom of speech together,” he added.

He said that they did struggle for freedom of speech for five decades. “Media personalities all over the world face difficulties. At one side trends are being increased of access to internet and on other side fake news and propaganda are also being increased,” he maintained.

He said that ensuring security of media related personalities is important. “Access to the righteous information is the basic component of democratic society,” he concluded.
