Medical board again recommends Nawaz’s treatment abroad
November 11, 2019
LAHORE (92 News) – A medical board of government, comprising doctors from the Services Hospital, on Monday again recommended former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s treatment from abroad. According to the details garnered, the medical board headed by Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has also declares Nawaz Sharif’s health critical. The board also informed that the platelets count of the former prime minster continues to drop and reached the level of 18000. The board also mentioned that Nawaz Sharif needs all medical facilities at one place which are not available in Pakistan including some tests. Earlier in the day, the former prime minister's  ticket to London for medical treatment has been cancelled on Monday due to delay in excluding his name from exit control list (ECL). The departure of former premier was delayed and his schedule to travel Qatar Airways flight QR629 changed today. Tickets of Nawaz Sharif, his brother Shehbaz Sharif and Dr Adnan were canceled, as his name remains on the ECL. It is pertinent to mention here that the former prime minister accompanied by Shehbaz Sharif and Dr Adnan were scheduled to leave for London, today for treatment, via Qatar Airways’s commercial flight QR-629 from Lahore. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (rtd) Javed Iqbal summoned a session over matter to remove name of Nawaz Sharif from ECL. During the session, the letter, already sent to Interior Ministry, will be reviewed. Last week, the NAB had opposed the removal of prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s name from the ECL. The NAB in a response to a letter penned by the Interior Ministry had advised seeking a legal opinion from the Law Ministry over the matter of removing Nawaz Sharif’s name from the ECL. “Several cases are under trial against Nawaz Sharif, we cannot give positive response unconditionally over the matter”, the letter reads. Earlier, the London departure of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif for treatment delayed until Monday.
