Medical board confirms housemaid Saima’s torture after checkup

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The six-member medical board of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) constituted for the medical checkup of housemaid Saima revealed that she was bitterly tortured.

 

The medical board after examining Saima explained that the house owner and his family stamped the girl’s body with heated knives, scratched her skin with nails and bit her with teeth. Ten to 12 scars of wounds were found on the body.

 

The six-member board took her psychological test, checked the nature of her burn injuries along with other tests.

 

The members of the board said that they also asked various questions from the girl.

 

The PIMS VC said that the housemaid’s medical report would be prepared in 24 hours.

 

The medical board consists of a brain surgeon, general surgeon, psychologist, gynecologist and forensic experts.

 

Meanwhile, during the recording of her statement before Assistant Commissioner Bushra Iqbal, Saima said that houseowner Almas, her son and daughter used to torture her together.

 

She said that the daughter bit her face with teeth. Her feet were manacled and a servant also used to torture her. The housemaid said that she was often starved and whenever she asked to visit her mother, she was told her that her mother has died.

 

Saima revealed that the house owner also broke the arm of another maid working with her in the house.
