Medical board formed for autopsy of Amir Liaquat Hussain

KARACHI (92 News) - A six-member medical board has been formed to conduct an autopsy of renowned anchor Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain on court’s orders.

As per details, the medical board head by surgeon Samiya Syed will exhume Aamir Liaqat’s body. The grave will be exhumed at 9am on June 23. An autopsy will be conducted to confirm if he died of natural reasons or was murdered.

According to the police surgeon, they cannot know about the reasons of the death without inspecting the inner part of the body.

Earlier, Magistrate Wazir Hussain Memon had ordered autopsy of Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain. The petition, filed by a citizen Abdul Ahad had contended that the death of Amir Liaquat Hussain had given birth to several suspicions. The state counsel had said that the deceased's relatives do not want his autopsy as it would hurt his soul.
