Medical report confirms housemaid Saima’s torture

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The medical report of housemaid Saima confirmed that she was tortured.


According to the report revealed on Friday, burn scars have been found on Saima’s arm and neck. The report further said that the housemaid’s hairs were cut up to ten centimeters.


The report has been prepared with the help of statements of the girl and the nature of the wounds.


A six-member medical board of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) was constituted for the medical checkup of housemaid Saima. The medical board after examining Saima explained that the house owner and his family stamped the girl’s body with heated knives, scratched her skin with nails and bit her with teeth. Ten to 12 scars of wounds were found on the body.


The six-member board took her psychological test, checked the nature of her burn injuries along with other tests.


A house owner and his mother bitterly beat 11-year-old Saima, belonging to Rahimyar Khan, in Islamabad’s Sector E-11 Police Foundation. The housemaid managed to escape and took shelter at a neighbor’s house.
